I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Andrew Gonzalez’s lab at McGill University. My research is about how dispersal behaviour influences population and community dynamics. My PhD was conducted in Dr. Shannon McCauley’s lab at the University of Toronto, where I studied the ecology and evolution of dispersal. Check out my research page for more info.

UPDATE: I am thrilled to announce that I will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Toronto in January 2023!

I am looking for graduate students to join my lab. Students interested in the ecology and evolution of organismal movement are encouraged to email me at celina.baines@utoronto.ca.

    Hey Celina —

Congrats and welcome back to EEB!!! It is so gratifying to see you and others in your cohort make their way into their chosen careers. And coincidentally, your first semester will be my last before retirement!

    Tag! You’re it!
